"The ARRAY_24 replaced a commuter bag, a camera bag, and a weekender. Eleven months of daily rain and the zips still run like day one."

02 / MATERIALS & HARDWARE

Critical materials, named and sourced.

Everything below is on the spec sheet in the box. If a component fails under normal use — ever — we replace the bag. That's the whole warranty document.

RW-840 Ridgeweave shell

840-denier recycled nylon 6.6, double-ripstop weave, PFAS-free C0 durable water repellent. 2,300+ abrasion cycles on the Martindale rig before visible wear — roughly triple a standard 500D pack cloth.

HYDRALOK sealed zippers

Weather-sealed coil zippers with a TPU storm lip, rated to a 48-hour spray-chamber soak. Cord pulls are gloved-hand sized and replaceable with a lighter and thirty seconds.

MAGLATCH magnetic hardware

Self-locating magnetic buckles on every strap junction — one-handed close, deliberate two-motion open, zero rattle. Load-rated to 80 kg per latch point.

7075-T6 aluminum frame hooks

Aircraft-grade stamped hooks and ladder locks, hard-anodized matte black. No plastic in the load path anywhere on any SKU.

ECO-PE 200 liner

High-visibility light-grey recycled polyethylene liner, so black gear doesn't vanish inside a black bag. Wipes clean with a damp cloth.

03 / ENGINEERING

Four decisions that cost us a year.

01 / HARNESS GEOMETRY

Straps that rotate with your shoulders

Fixed strap anchors fight your body every time you bend or reach. Ours mount on pivoting 7075 plates that rotate ±20°, so the pack stays flat on your back on a bike, on a ladder, or sprinting for the 17 bus. Load transfers through the frame sheet, not your trapezius.

Pivot range ±20° · frame sheet: 1.2 mm HDPE · tested to 40,000 flex cycles

02 / ACCESS ARCHITECTURE

Clamshell when you pack, quick-draw when you move

The main HYDRALOK zip opens the ARRAY flat like a suitcase for packing. A second side rail gets one hand to your laptop, camera, or keys without taking the pack off — swing it to your chest, draw, done. Two openings, zero flaps to fumble.

03 / INTERNAL VOLUME

One bag, reconfigured in seconds

Two stiffened dividers rail into the interior at any height, and every CELL_01 pouch docks to the liner with MAGLATCH points. Monday it's a commuter with a lunch shelf; Friday the dividers come out and it swallows a weekend. The 6L expansion collar adds overflow without changing the silhouette.

04 / WEATHER LOGIC

Built for the city that tests rain gear for free

Portland gives us 150 wet days a year of product testing. Seams above the waterline are taped, the base is a single molded panel with no stitching to wick, and the stowed hood deploys in five seconds for the storms the shell alone shouldn't have to win. Your gear stays dry; that's non-negotiable.

Spray-chamber rating: 48 hr · taped seams above waterline · molded base, zero stitch penetrations

05 / PRESS

On the record.

"The ARRAY_24 is what happens when someone designs a pack like a tool instead of an outfit."

Field Kit Quarterly — Fall bag guide

"Six SKUs, one colorway, zero filler. The most disciplined catalog in carry."

The Modern Haul — Editor's pick

"We soaked it, dragged it, and overloaded it. The warranty card is going to gather dust."

Northwest Gear Index — Long-term review, 9.2/10
06 / SUPPORT

Humans in Portland, on the record too.

Repairs, warranty claims, fit questions, or "which sling for a mirrorless and a burrito" — email or call and you get a person who packs these bags daily. Warranty claims ship back within five business days.
